I've thought how fortunate we've been not to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday by having sales. "I had a dream at [name your local mattress and bedding store]." It would be just as tacky to have a Dr. Martin Luther King Day whites sale. Pillow cases and bed sheets are all half off." Could you see getting the day off on Thursday to celebrate Presidents Day for Example and then have to go back to work on Friday.... That would not be good because everyone would call in sick on Friday, and leave Busnisses hold the shopping bag.
