Everybody thinks you’re so creative Unk, but the truth is, you never make anything up! It’s humor in an avuncular vein. And I’m kinda relieved that Chicago, great as it is, didn’t get the Olympic bid. Just imagine a a young black man with a gold chain (and medal) named Hussein running down miracle mile like his life depended on it, with a torch in his hand! How long do you think he’d last?

Halle-freakin-luiah Uncle Jay! Your explanation of why you can’t explain certain things, and telling this weeks letter writer that no one person/organization can explain it either was right on the money. Now, can someone explain this to all the “pundits” who think they have the (only) correct answer? And has anyone else noticed that “pundits” and “idiots” sound alike for a reason? (Feel free to use this in a future explanation of the news!)

Uncle Jay, you need to be on TV, again. Late night shows seem to be desperate for new material (or at least that’s what David Letterman is making me think) so there’s nothing to stop you from getting your own department on the late show!

In regards to the olympics: Perhaps the reason Chicago was not picked is not entirely because the world is jealous, I mean, hates us. Maybe people just got tired of going to one of the world’s dirtiest cities last year and decided they didn’t want to do it again this go around. Who knows? At least you don’t claim to, I think you really are more fair and balanced than any network out there because you can admit your ignorance. Peace out!

Anyway, the true disillusion is that the media still believes Pres. Obama has more international respect than Bush did. Let’s face it, whether it’s Obama or Bush, the Olympic Committee (and Al-Qaeda!), much like most members of the U.N., still hate America and our not-to-be-named egotistical presidents. Chicago being voted down as an Olympic host is the least of our worries, but pretty darn insulting to be voted down first. *Slap

I’m sure the foreign nationals (that hate us) are all laughing… especially since the media is being whiners about the Olympics. I can just hear the French laughing with har-har’s and hee-hee’s. The American media can be so embarrassing… It’s a good thing that the Olympic Committee did not use a video segment of our televised media as the reason they voted Chicago down.

Thanks for making the news a little lighter and easier to take. I’ve been following you for several months now, and I am amazed by your creativity and freshness every week. (Once you made me fee so good I sent you $5 just for the heck of it) Did I read somewhere that you used to be on TV? I think you would make a really great segment on one of the late night talk shows. I will assume you tried to do that already and that they are missing out on a really good bit. So far you are way more entertaining than the video bits Jay Leno has been showing on his new 10 PM show. You are the Johnny Carson monolog of the 21st century! Thanks!
