I also love the dry humor, particularly the matter of Ted Kennedy saving people from “drowning in a river…”.

Hi Uncle jay,

Apparently, some uninformed and just plain nasty people have written to you this week. Certain folks down Texas way come to mind. The sleazoid comments about Teddy Kennedy are unwarranted. Ted may have come from money, but he never forgot that from those to whom much is given, much is required. Millions of Americans, including a certain citizen of New Braunfels, are better off for Ted Kennedy’s having been in the Senate for 46 years. Teddy wasn’t perfect, but few great men are.

Hi Uncle Jay:

Gosh Uncle Jay, if Teddy Kennedy’s rich daddy had not been a connected politician, poor Teddy would have spent 10 years in jail for vehicular manslaughter. So Teddy was able to stay out of jail and give taxpayers money to poor people.

Love the dry humour “…News is only about rare and unusual events” followed by the now poignant sign off “…. Great kids make great new”. Well done Jay.

PS For Carole: Your kids will feel safe when you stop scaring the bejeezus out of ‘em by buying into and passing on all the crap you see on FOX news. You are the parent. Of course it’s your job to shield them; and that includes shielding them from your own paranoia.
