Great episode. All arguments online eventually boil down to one party comparing the other to the Nazis. That is called Godwin’s Law. The first person to make the comparison loses the argument. For more information look it on Wiki.

I like the way Uncle Jay discusses the Hitler/ George Bama link (or was that the Barack Obush link?). Also suggests letting Congress be reduced to the size of the Supreme court as a cost savings measure. (or was it the Supremes? I forget)

Uncle Jay, Thanks for using my question. I am so honored that you thought it was interesting, too. Seriously, shouldn’t we downsize the House of Representatives? The ones we elect don’t seem to represent us now so they might as well represent an even larger number of citizens. Committees should have no more than 5 members so the debates don’t go on for months. Think of the staff reductions! Maybe we need a block on the ballot to vote for “no one.”

I love how Uncle jay hits everyone’s Hitler and Joker comparisons when others don’t agree with them. Esp over the health care. People want basicially to pay less, but not get less. And both parties are playing this confusion to their benefit.

Actually, there are at a few members of Congress who actually have integrity and refuse to be bought (or to borrow/steal our money). Maybe there are others besides Hensarling and Paul, but that’s at least two I’d like to keep.

But yeah, government downsizing = good, especially with the outsourcing to India.

How about firing the whole bunch (Senators and Representatives) and holding new elections with campaign spending limits of $100 per individual and $1,000 per corporation? Also, let’s require winners to live in their own districts or states and come to Washington only when Congress is in session four times a year for one week each time. AND we need to pass term limits of no more than two, two-year terms! Lobbyists and special interest groups need not apply! Wthachya think, Uncle Jay?
