California is on fire, the Dakotas are snowed under, and the rest of us feel mostly cloudy. But at least one thing went up: the Space Shuttle! Even when the news shivers, Uncle Jay explains it all.

Great one!
It’s very important that our leaders give taxpayer money to the US auto industry to save it, I’m sure Toyota, Kia, Honda, Hyundai, and BMW will be lined up to get it. Oh wait, they don’t need it.
So we pretty much are bailing out the UAW aren’t we?

I was wondering what would be smarter to do?
Give money to auto makers
~or~
Let them fold and pay the money out in unemployment payments?
Seems to me that it would be cheaper to pay unemployment and let the people find a new line of work so they can support themselves.
(then again I’m using common sense. I’m sorry. I’ll sit down and be quiet.)
Oh yeah, 2 clicks for you in the 3rd column (if you know what I mean).
